Dr. J. James Li, IP Legal Counsel
The leader of our IP management and enforcement team is Dr. J. James Li, founder of Li Law, a Silicon Valley technology law firm, focused on providing strategic counseling in IP portfolio design, management, and enforcement, as well as in technology related business transactions, IP licensing and litigation. Prior to Li Law, Dr. Li was a partner at a premium international law firm Greenberg & Traurig. Dr. Li’s extensive experience in IP litigation covers broad areas of technologies including dietary supplements, herbal medicines, biometrics devices, DNA arrays, gene therapy vectors, kidney dialysis machines, image-guided surgery devices, and PCR reagents and devices.

Dr. Li is a member of the State Bar of California, and is registered to practice in front of the US Patent & Trademark Office. Dr. Li obtained his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), his Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his B.S. in biology from Peking University.
